Big Day Out is an Australian music festival which began in 1992 in Sydney and has expanded since to include several Australian venues and also Auckland, New Zealand. Each year, the line-up of artists changes dramatically, generally maintaining rock as the focal music style, but also featuring many hip-hop, electronica, blues and roots artists.
